Ashstar yowled frantically and all of the cats shrieked in terror as warriors helped the apprentices and struggling cats to higher ground. The stonger cats were hauling the weaker ones to dry land as they struggled through the rush of water. Everyone's faces were fearful and worried as the water rushed in, tearing apart their dens; their lives. A sleek soaking wet body slithered through the water like a fish and snagged up a limp white body. Coldclaw told Ashstar that Cinderstripe drowned as he set her down. Ashstarnodded, but was too busy helping cats to higher ground to notice Icebreeze limp form on the unknown cat's back. As the rain let up and the water started rushing out of camp the way it had come the pretty white cat with orange splotches, one blue eyes and one green eye, one black paw, one brown paw, one white paw and a ginger paw put Icebreeze down and meowed,
"Can I help?"

Ace yowled to his frightened cats,
"The storm cant kill us, no need to fear it." The roar of the thunder rumbling through his ears as a flash struck down in the middle of camp. everyone scattered but one. Dagger lay scorched on the muddy ground as the storm clouds cleared as quickly as they had come. Ginger's eyes were full of fear as she approached her brothers body. She wailed aloud as she realized he would never smile shyly at her again.
"First Stella, now him!" Ginger wailed to the sky, her best friend Stella had been murdered by Ashstar only days before. Stella's kits now had no father and no mother.
"I will care for them..." Ginger's voice trailed off as she went to warm her brother's frightened kits; Hail, Storm, Willow, and Spark.

Ripple gazed nervously at the drenched body of the tri-coloured she-cat. 'She had traveled so far to the clans to see this? Of course not!' she thought to herself upsettedly. "The firey one did not speak of this!" she softly gasped as she took in the wreckage that was once the camp.
ReplyDeleteAshstar bit his lip as he took in the remains of his camp. "We would appreciate your help, Thank you." He padded over to Icebreeze and listened to her chest and wished he had a medicine cat. "Can anyone help her!?" he wailed.
ReplyDeleteMapleclaw buried her face in Cinderstripe's fur, her only real friend was dead.
Smokehaze approached the new cat, "Who are you?"
"My name is Ripple Created by Raindrop,"she mewed shyly."Who are you?"

ReplyDeleteHail squirmed away from Ginger's grasp and meowed, "Just leave me alone!"
ReplyDeleteGinger wiped her tears and curled her tail around the other three kits.
River and Fallen padded from the sodden bushes. "I can help her." River spoke up, causing the clan cats to tirn and look at the new arrivels. Fallen stood beside his friend, eyeing the clan cats.
ReplyDeleteAshstar dipped his head to her and meowed, "Please save her, she is the only family I have."
ReplyDeleteIcebreeze writhed once. She gasped and tried to breathe, but just couldn't.
ReplyDeleteFrozenpaw watched silently. She stared at her sister and blinked slowly. She had to be strong, just like Coldclaw. She glanced over at him and saw the way he was. 'He's so amazing, I want to be just like him.' She meowed. She turned back to Icebreeze and forced herself not to cry or show any emotion at all.
Coldclaw stood over Cinderstripe and watched Mapleclaw cry. He would never feel like that, he vowed. Never.
Mapleclaw glanced up at Coldclaw and frowned at the hard look in his eyes as his sister lay dying.
ReplyDeleteAshstar bent over and licked Icebreeze's cheek and whispered, "You'll be alright, I promise."
Bengalpaw stood beside Frozenpaw and meowed in a hushed voice, "are you okay?"
(i thought she was already dead)

"I'm fine!" Frozenpaw meowed quickly, her face flashing with fear for a second before turning back expressionless.
(she isnt dead, Rivermist can save her, or Ashstar...)
ReplyDeleteAshstar choked back a sob and shoved the new cat out of the way and started pumping her chest with her mouth tipped open.
Bengalpaw stepped away from her and meowed, "sorry, I was just being nice..."

ReplyDeleteIcebreeze coughed up water and gasped for air. She gulped once, then looked up at Ashstar and broke into a weak smile.
(i know she is talkin about how coldclaw isnt doing anything about icebreeze...)
ReplyDeleteAshstar finally burst into tears and buried his face in her sodden pelt as he meowed, "Thank Starclan you're alright!'

Frozenpaw relaxed her shoulders and sighed.
Ashstar heaved icebreeze up onto his back and carried her to the medicine cat's den with River on his tail. He set her down gently and sent Coldclaw to get Honey and Lavender for chills.
ReplyDeleteColdclaw brought in the herbs and almost sat down next to his sister. Then he saw Ashstar, curtly nodded, and padded out of the den.
ReplyDeleteAshstar set to work on Icebreeze making a paste of honey and lavender leaves as quickly as a medicine cat. He set it infront of her and sat back on his haunches to wait.
ReplyDeleteIcebreeze blinked up at Ashstar. "What now?'
ReplyDelete"You lie down and rest, do you feel shaky? Or a bit shocked?" Ashtar asked her.
ReplyDelete"Uh, both." Icebreeze mewed. "But rest will help. I'm fine. I'll be up and at 'em soon."
ReplyDeleteAshstar asked for some thyme, gave it to Icebreeze and told her to sleep. "You should feel better in the morning."
ReplyDeleteIcebreeze rolled her eyes. "I'll be fine, as long as you stop treating me like a kit!" She wrapped her tail over her nose and closed her eyes.

ReplyDeleteRiver ran over with some herbs in her mouth, Fallen tagging along behind her. She placed the herbs nearr Icebreeze, "Here, these should help. Make sure you rest plenty." She instructed, she nodded to Ashstar, "Looks like you didn't need my help." Her blue eyes sparkled warmly, "The name's River." She nodded to Fallen, "This is Fallen." Said cat nodded a greeting.
Ashstar's ears drooped and the worried spark left his eyes, 'i thought you were dead..." He nodded to River and Fallen and padded solemnly back to his drenched den.
